School Services are delivered to children within their school / pre-school environment.
OT Kids offers Occupational Therapy delivered in a child’s school, during their school day. This mode of service delivery is sometimes more convenient for busy families and enables the OT to collaborate closely with educators. To ensure continuity of care within the home, regulation communication is made with carers about therapy delivered into school. School therapy sessions may take place in the classroom, playground, or another nominated space within the school, based on therapy goals, client preference and space available.
OT Kids offers screeners at schools, pre-schools and daycares to assist in identifying students who may need extra support with their development. A screener is a brief assessment tool used to identify potential concerns or areas of delay in a child’s development that may warrant further evaluation or intervention. Screeners are designed to quickly gather information about a child’s abilities, strengths, and challenges in areas related to motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, social interactions, and overall functional abilities.
